Mike Mercatoris is the founder of the C&E Group at Compass, specializing in commercial and entrepreneurial real estate throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and greater Western Colorado.
With more than three decades as a business owner and operator in the Roaring Fork Valley, Mike brings firsthand perspective to every transaction. Before transitioning into real estate, he owned and operated multiple successful restaurants and worked closely with more than 100 hospitality and service-based businesses—experience that now shapes how he approaches commercial sales, leasing, redevelopment, and long-term value creation.
Mike works closely with business owners, investors, and developers, helping clients evaluate opportunities, structure transactions, and align real estate decisions with broader business and lifestyle goals. A core focus of his work is guiding business owners from leasing to ownership and supporting investors pursuing repositioning and mixed-use strategies.
The C&E Group operates with a team-based, relationship-driven approach grounded in deep local knowledge. With longstanding ties across Aspen, Snowmass, Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs, Mike’s network spans banking, development, hospitality, and local leadership—often creating access to opportunities before they reach the open market.
Mike lives in the valley with his wife, Liz, and their children, Maddie and George. Outside of work, he’s usually on the water or in the mountains—skiing, biking, wake surfing, and exploring the Roaring Fork Valley lifestyle that makes this region such a special place to live and invest.
